Those were the days excitement plus for the service crews, this chase car had nearly everything on board. The chase cars would be waiting at the end of every stage and hop on the tail of the rally car, or fix it up if need be, so it could get to the next stage or the main service vehicles. Those were the days of FREE service. I remember being chase it was almost as good as competing. But must admit the service arrangements these days do make for much safer rallying for everyone!
